Vessel: Traditional gaiwan (recommended) or Yixing clay teapot

Method:

• Rinse the leaves once with boiling water — discard immediately. This opens the leaves and removes any surface dust.
• 1st–6th infusion: pour in and out as quickly as possible — flash infusions only. The rock tea is concentrated and needs no time at this stage.
• 7th infusion onward: begin adding time — start at 10 seconds and add 10–15 seconds with each subsequent infusion. 
• Total infusions: 8–10 full sessions from one 9g serving.
