Master Mei Bozhen’s 2016 Shoumei harvest, aged a full decade through natural transformation that no shortcut can replicate. Shoumei is the boldest of the white teas, made from mature leaves with real structure and character. Given ten years to develop, what starts as rustic and full-bodied slowly becomes something extraordinary, deep, complex and unmistakably aged.

In the cup: a rich amber to deep reddish liquor with warming dried plum and subtle floral notes, aged honey sweetness and a deep earthy depth that only time can produce. The finish is long, smooth and satisfying in a way that only genuinely aged tea can deliver. This is a tea that rewards patience ,both the decade it took to get here and the quiet moment you give it now.

Brewing

• 5g · 95–100°C · Clay teapot or gaiwan

• First infusion: 15–20 seconds

• Add 4–5 seconds each round · 10–15 infusions

• Also excellent as a thermos, 2g per 500ml of water steep for 15-30 minutes for deep flavor.
